“Just Friends” Ladies choir is still going strong!
We are now in our 12th year and our ethos is exactly what it was originally: singing for pleasure, relaxation and camaraderie.
As we all seem to be busy folks we now concentrate less on concert performances and instead sing for charity occasions, weddings and obviously, our own enjoyment.
We meet on Thursday evenings in Warmington School from 7.30 - 9 pm (school term time only)
We are a friendly group as the picture above shows (this was taken at the Retired Residents' Christmas Party in December) and are always very welcoming to new members.
Your first evening with us would be a free taster to see if the group‘s for you. After that, the fees are £2 a session paid on a half term basis.
The Just Friends Choir originated over 12 years ago as a group of school mums who wanted to sing together. We met after school and the children played in the playground while we sang!
Over time this evolved into evening rehearsals (with fewer distractions!!) and we have gained and lost new members along the way. We now have singers from other villages and as far afield as Corby and one or two from Peterborough so our fame is obviously spreading!
