
Warmington in the past including the Beaker Burial which was found when
the by-pass under which the underpass runs was built. The burial
included a beaker containing finely worked flints. The idea for the
beetles came from a project undertaken by Warmington School children.

The zip joins the past and the present with the sound of the church
bells turning into stars. The image of the Green Man was taken from the
carved bosses on the church roof.

The rainbow represents the Rainbow Walks around the village (shown in
the map) and surrounding countryside. The cycle indicates a national
cycle route passes through the village.

The Red Kite has become a common site in the skies around the village
since its reintroduction to nearby Fineshades Woods. The 14th/15th
century dove cote is an important building in the village.

Warmington Mill was one on many along the banks of the river Nene which
brought considerable wealth to the area during medieval times. The
current building dates from the 19th century.

The water meadows along the Nene provide an important area for
wildflowers and animals.
