Warmington Underpass Project Diary

Back to WUP Opening  -  The Full Mural

After much planning and toil by the organisers work started on the underpass mural on the 12 September 2007. The whole of south side wall was sanded to prepare the surface for the painters.
On the 20 September 2007 the first coats of paint were applied and much of the core structure of the mural set out. The following day the detail of the design was traced onto the wall by projecting the design images using an overhead projector.
The next day it was over to the painters young and old to put their skills to use and add their personal touches to the design.
The pictures that follow provide a visual diary of the project from start to its finish on 30 September 2007.
