Sir Pelham Warner observed that; "Cricket is the greatest game that the wit of man has yet devised." The hard work of many has now ensured that the great game has returned to Warmington.The training sessions held on the Fun Field during the Summer holiday proved very popular with village children and put the new cricket nets to good use.Qualified coaches from Oundle Town Cricket Club and Nassington Cricket Club lead the training sessions with the help of John Atkinson.Next season should see some recruits ready to play for local teams, maybe even a Warmington team.15 September 2007 |
