Workshop Success

Whether you were 8 or 80, urban arrival, rural regular, bystander or activist, everyone who attended the village design statement workshop found themselves taking part in a very active day. Under the direction of Chairman William Du Croz, the workshop started with the task of identifying the things that make Warmington special to local residents.

Next, everyone was dispatched to travel the length and breath of the parish to complete a photographic survey of the village, its buildings, the landscape and important local amenities. While sixteen rolls of film headed off for the 1 hour developing and printing service the remainder enjoyed home made soup, rolls and tea bread.

Back from processing over 500 photographs were sorted into three categories; landscape, buildings and amenities. Those that represented the best of Warmington were put up for display.

Finally everyone joined an open discussion on the events of the day and how the things identified during the day can be incorporated into the final document.
