 Plans Set for a Busy Spring

Plans have been agreed for a series of events during the Spring as part of the development of the Village Design Statement. At the second Steering Group meeting on 21 February 2002 it was also agreed that a newsletter should be issued to every household in the parish along with a invitation to the Village Workshop on 27 April 2002.

The events planned for the Spring include:

• 4 April 2002 - A talk by Robert Bosworth on the history of the village
• 27 April 2002 - The Village Workshop
• 16 May 2002 - A Village Walk
• June - A Farm Walk
• June, July and September - Exhibitions on the Village Design Statement

More details on all these events will be included in the newsletter that will be published at the end of March. The exhibitions will be held in conjunction with other village events being held during the Summer.

The Steering Group  have agreed to adopt a logo, for the Village Design Statement, based on one of the more famous landmarks in the village the Dove Cote. The sketch was produced by the Reed family and will be used on all official documents and the final design statement document.
