Group Discussions Identify Favourite Places in Warmington

50 parishioners attended a workshop to launch the process to produce a Village Design Statement on 29th November 2001. Eleven volunteers came forward to form a Steering Group and the meeting considered what needs to be done to produce a statement that will be approved as supplementary planning guidance by East Northants District Council.

Everyone at the meeting was asked to identify their five favourite things about the village.

The areas around Eaglethorpe, Taylors Green and Church Street topped the list.

Historic buildings came second, including the Church and the view from Morborne Hill also proved popular.

Amenities such as Noel's shop, the pub and the post office were also considered important.
