Steering Group Constitution
1. Name The Group shall be known as the Warmington Village Design Statement Steering Group'. 2. Aims and Objectives The purpose of the Steering Group shall be to prepare, on behalf of the residents of the Parish of Warmington, a Village Design Statement, taking due regard of the advice and guidance provided by the Countryside Agency. The Steering Group shall work as an independent body' but shall endeavour to keep everyone in the village informed of the work as it progresses, and enable everyone to be involved. At the completion of the Project, the Village Design Statement shall be in a form that it can be adopted by the Local Planning Authority as Supplementary Planning Guidance. 3. Powers The Steering Group shall be responsible for the implementation of all the work necessary to achieve a successful completion of the programme of work. In order to achieve this the Steering Group shall be able to raise funds by obtaining sponsorship, donations and grants; and may organise other events with the purpose of raising funds to cover the costs incurred in achieving the aims and objectives. 4. Steering Group A Steering Group shall be established by the election, at a Meeting to be held in January of each year, of the following officers:
and up to ten other persons' with the objective of achieving a: fair representation of the residents. The Steering Group may invite other people to join the Steering Group if this is necessary to achieve the objectives. 5. Project Board The Steering Group shall report to a Project Board who will be responsible for monitoring progress, providing advice and guidance, and if appropriate, confirming their approval as each stage is completed. At the conclusion of the work, the Project Board shall provide a report to East Northamptonshire Council! making their recommendation with regard to the adoption of the Village Design Statement as Supplementary Planning Guidance. The Project Board shall be made up of one representative from each of the following organisations:

Payment or Benefits The members of the Steering Group shall not receive any payment for their services, but may be reimbursed for al! reasonable expenses, provided there is documentary proof of such expenses. 7. Dissolution Clause The Steering Group shall be dissolved on 31st December 2003, or such earlier date as may be agreed by the Steering Group. All funds and assets held by the Steering Group at that time shall be paid to the Parish Council; and such funds shall only be used for the benefit of the Parish.
