28 forms were returned.

Comments were as follows:-
The main reason for people answering "no" to questions 1 and 2 is the fact that the bus does not come through the village. However of the 23 (85.18%) that expressed a preference for the bus to be routed through the village, 8 (34.78%) qualified this. 2 felt that it would be unrealistic or unreasonable to request this. 6 felt that only some buses should run through the village, namely the 0659, one in the evening and perhaps one or two on a Sunday.
Again the response to the question as to whether pick up points are suitably placed was influenced by the wish for the bus to be routed through the village
The majority felt that the buses are of a satisfactory standard with a couple of comments re dirty leaking windows.
The majority felt that fares are value for money. Adverse comments included a request for cheaper fares for students (a school bus season ticket) and for those travelling regularly on the bus i.e. to work
What improvements would you like to see?
Of the 28 responses, 12 (42.86%) did not request any improvements.
Improvements suggested included:-
  • Some buses routed through the village with stops throughout.
  • Better street lighting on the road from the Little Chef to the village.
  • Lower fares.
  • More frequent service.
Other Comments
  • Safety was of concern to many both for the elderly and the youth returning home after dark and having to walk into the village. Also having to walk with heavy shopping.
  • Particular mention was made of schoolchildren travelling to and from The Kings School in Peterborough and having to walk back to the village.
  • The services should be better advertised and timetables more readily available.
  • Litter bins should be provided and regularly emptied at the bus stops.
  • In time a service to the Edith Cavell Hospital will be necessary.
