5. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
a) Mrs Hodges reported problems with a dog at the bungalows near
the Red Lion Pub. It was felt that dogs should be kept on leads around
the village. Mrs Hodges to approach the person who raised the problem
to ascertain how she would like to proceed.
b) Mr Hinton reported problems with the parking in Church Street at
the recent funeral in the village. Whilst this was a one off, the
Parochial Church Council will be approached to ascertain whether more
cones can be put out for such occasions and the police will be
informed for future occasions.
c) Mr Cooper reported that the Roses site has been tidied, but that
there are now two posts sticking out half way to the path. The fence
is up but no trees at present. The gap by the bus shelter has not been
filled in. Mr Rowell to investigate.
d) Mr Dixon stated that flyers are to be produced for every
household asking whether they would like a pavillion and sports
facilities on the Leisure Field and whether they would be willing to
form a committee to progress this. Mr Banbridge kindly offered to
deliver all of the flyers.
e) Mr Rowell reported that he has been in contact with Elton
Estates and that Bryants are to fence the play area. Discussion
followed as to whether the fence should be metal or wood. 4 were in
favour of metal, 3 wood and 2 did not mind either way. Mr Rowell would
put forward a preference for metal if the Parish Council have a
choice. Bryants have telephoned the Clerk to say that they will visit
the Nene Pastures site to look at the outstanding items including the
footpath across the Social Club. This to be followed up to ensure that
an answer is given.
f) Mrs Hodges had been asked whom the small areas of shrubbery
belong to around the Nene Pastures Estate. At present no one is
tending them and they are full of thistles and rubbish. This to be
investigated.
g) Mr Rowell reported that he, Mr Bosworth and Mrs Hodges had been
interviewed on Radio Northampton re the Improving Your Patch Awards.
At the Balloon Festival on Friday 16th
August the Parish Council were awarded an Improving Your Patch award
and were declared the East Northamptonshire Area Winner. This latter
attracted a cheque for £100.
h) Mr Rowell reported that the Village Design Statement meeting
previously planned for December 4th
will now take place in the new year.
6. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
a) 9/11 Church Lane, Warmington – Two storey rear extension,
addition of bay window and verandah. No objections.
b) Dwellinghouse, land adjacent no 14 Little Green at Springville
House, Little Green, Warmington. After discussion the concerns of a
few Parish Councillors were that the plot was unsuitable for a large
property. With reservations, the Parish Council have no objection to a
property being built on the plot as long as it is suitable for the
size of plot. ENC to be made aware of these views, proposed Mr
Enfield, seconded Mr Cooper, 5 in favour and 2 against. It was agreed
that the Village Design Statement group should be made aware of this
application.
c) Two dwellings at 44 Big Green, Warmington. Mr Dixon left the
meeting at this point. Mr Hinton proposed and Mr Cooper seconded that
there be no objections to this application. AIF.
The meeting closed at 8.40pm.
